About window screens

Can I still open and close my windows normally?

Yes. The screens mount to the window frame, not the sash, so sliders, single-hungs, and casements all operate exactly as before. The screen simply replaces the flimsy insect screen that was there - same daily routine, very different mesh.

What about bedroom windows and fire egress?

Bedrooms need an escape route, and we treat that as non-negotiable. Egress configurations use a quick-release system that opens the screen instantly from inside without tools or keys, while staying fixed steel from the outside. We flag every bedroom window at the measure and spec it accordingly.

Will window screens darken my rooms?

Marginally less than a standard fiberglass insect screen in most light - the 316 wire is finer than people expect, and there is no thick grille or bar pattern. From a few feet inside the room, the mesh reads as a slight tint, and the view stays whole.

What do security window screens cost?
