Security screen doors in Newport Beach, CA

Marine-grade mesh for a harbor town - open to the sea breeze, always.

Made for Newport Beach

Doors that fit how Newport Beach lives

Salt air is honest - it finds every weak material on the coast and tells on it. That is why the mesh in every Daylight Steel door is 316 marine-grade stainless steel, the same alloy specified for fittings on the boats in the harbor: it lives beside the ocean without corroding, season after season. Newport Beach is exactly where that pedigree matters. From the peninsula to the back bay, homes here are built around water and light - walls of glass, sliders onto patios, the easy indoor-outdoor luxury the harbor towns perfected.

A security screen door has to earn its place on a house like that, and ours does it by disappearing: mesh fine enough to keep the view, frames trim enough to respect the architecture, strength enough that the door is genuinely secure without ever making a point of it. Then it starts giving things back. The slider stands open to the afternoon sea breeze. The front door breathes on a summer evening while the neighborhood strolls past. Kids track sand through an open doorway, which is the correct use of a doorway in Newport Beach. Our own installers measure and hang every door - coastal homes, custom openings, no subcontractors - and the fit is precise enough to feel nautical.

Local questions

Asked in Newport Beach

Why does 316 stainless matter more here than elsewhere?

Because Newport Beach air carries real salt, every day, and salt is merciless to lesser metals. 316 is the marine grade - the same specification used for deck and rigging hardware on the boats in the harbor - with added alloying that resists exactly this kind of corrosion. Screens made of ordinary steel or aluminum slowly stain and pit near the water; 316 simply goes on being bright.

Will a security door look heavy on a coastal contemporary home?

Ours is designed not to. There is no grillwork and there are no bars - just a slim architectural frame around a plane of fine dark mesh that reads like shadow. On glass-forward coastal architecture the effect is minimal and intentional, closer to a design element than a security product. Most visitors never register that it is a security door at all.

Can you screen wide sliders and full patio openings?

Yes - indoor-outdoor walls are Newport's signature, and we build sliding security screen doors to match them, fitted to your exact track and opening. The rollers are specified for smooth daily use, and our own installers set them so the glide stays true. The result is a wall of glass you can leave open to the sea breeze all afternoon, with nothing uninvited coming through.

How is pricing handled?

Transparently, which we know is not the industry norm. Our full pricing is published on our website - hinged doors, sliders, oversized and custom work - so you can evaluate the investment privately before speaking with anyone. Once our installer measures your openings, the quote is fixed in writing. It is the same straightforwardness we would want buying for our own homes.
