French Door Security Screens
Open the whole wall of the dining room. Keep it that way through dessert.
The entertaining doors
Made for wide-open evenings
Nobody chooses French doors for practicality. They're chosen for the moment both panels swing wide and the dining room becomes part of the garden - which is exactly the moment ordinary security thinking would have you give up. We'd rather you keep it.
Our French door screens work as a matched pair: 316 marine-grade stainless mesh in both panels, an astragal seal down the meeting stile, and hardware that mirrors left and right. Day to day you'll use one leaf like a normal screen door. When people come over, both open flat and the opening is the full opening - no center post, no compromise, and no reason to close anything until the last guest is gone.

Questions
About french doors
Do both French door panels get a screen?
Yes - the system is a matched pair with an astragal seal where the panels meet. Open one side for everyday traffic or swing both wide for a party; the full-width opening your French doors were chosen for is preserved.
Will the screens hide the look of my French doors?
From the street you mostly see your doors. The 316 mesh is fine enough to read as a subtle shadow rather than a barrier, and frames are powder-coated to complement your existing paint or stain - most visitors have to be told the screens are there.
How do the locks work on a pair?
The active panel carries a multi-point lock - one lever throws stainless bolts top, center, and bottom. The second panel secures with flush bolts into the frame, so both leaves are locked steel when closed, and the astragal keeps the meeting stile sealed against bugs and weather.
What does a French door pair cost?
Our published range starts at $4,225 installed for the pair, including both panels, the astragal seal, and matched hardware. Wider-than-standard pairs and custom colors quote toward the top of the range - confirmed in writing at the free measure.
